IIDEA, the association representing the video game industry in Italy, has announced the launch of “First Playable Coaching 2024”, a program designed to support emerging Italian development studios. This initiative includes a series of free individual coaching sessions scheduled from 22nd April to 7th June 2024, in preparation for First Playable, a significant business event set to take place in Florence from 3rd to 5th July. The event will feature meetings between companies, technical talks, and an awards ceremony for the best Italian games and professionals, providing an opportunity to develop prospects in the gaming sector with the backing of prestigious partners.

First Playable Coaching 2024, organized by IIDEA and the Toscana Film Commission in collaboration with the Fondazione Sistema Toscana, the ICE Agency, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aims to create opportunities for developers to showcase their projects to international publishers and investors. The coaching sessions will involve 15 industry expert mentors who will share their expertise to help participants prepare and present their pitches effectively, identify suitable publishers for their projects, and offer strategic advice to maximize success during the event.

Notable professionals involved in the coaching program include Valerio Di Donato, CEO of 34BigThings, Elisa Farinetti, Business Developer at Broken Arms Games, Yves Hohler, CEO & Co-Founder of Broken Arms Games, and other industry experts from renowned companies. The mentors will share their experience in the video game sector to guide and support participants in their development journey.

Those interested in participating can book appointments with the mentors through the official website of the event, where tickets for First Playable are also available. This initiative aims to foster growth and innovation in the Italian video game industry by providing support and guidance to emerging studios.
