The Greco-Roman team in Turkey is led by three U.S. Olympic Team Trials champions and U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program teammates: Dalton Roberts at 60 kg, Ellis Coleman at 67 kg, and Kamal Bey at 77 kg. Roberts, a two-time U.S. World Team member and Pan American champion, will face Viktor Petryk of Ukraine in his opening round. Petryk, who was a bronze medalist at the 2021 European Championships, has competed at three Senior World Championships. Roberts may face a rematch with No. 1 seed Gevorg Gharibyan of Armenia in the quarterfinals. The bottom side of Roberts’ bracket features tough competition like Sadyk Lalaev from Russia and Hleb Makaranka from Belarus.

Coleman, a London Olympian and four-time U.S. World Team member, begins his run against Aliaksandr Liavonchyk from Belarus. Two wins could put Coleman in the quarterfinals against No. 4 seed Abu Amaev of Bulgaria. The semifinals could see Coleman facing top-seeded Krisztian Vancza of Hungary or Etienne Kinsinger of Germany. Bey, a three-time U.S. World Team member, will face Individual Neutral Athlete Sergei Kutuzov from Russia in his opening match. He could potentially face Tsimur Berdyieu from Belarus in the second round. Bey’s side of the bracket also includes tough opponents like Viktor Nemes of Serbia and Iuri Lomadze of Georgia.
