The State Bank of Israel has announced the release of commemorative coins with the slogan “Israel Together” (“Israel Beyahad”), dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the declaration of Independence of the State of Israel and symbolizing the unity and cohesion of Israelis that arose after Black Saturday on October 7. The Bank of Israel has issued Independence Day commemorative coins annually since 1958, their designs reflect significant events in the life of Israel and Israelis.

According to the authors of the concept, the unprecedented terrorist attack and the War of Iron Swords that began after it led not only to tragedy and catastrophe in the lives of Israelis, but also to national unity, support, and mutual assistance. The sketch for the reverse of the coins was created by the artist Tsvika Roitman; it depicts hands reaching out to each other against the backdrop of a pastoral picture of a kibbutz house and a tractor. At the top of the coin there is a large number 76.

On the obverse, a circle of the inscriptions “Independence Day 2024” in Hebrew and English and “Israel” in Hebrew, English, and Arabic complements the symbol created by artist Eitan Alon in the form of six hands holding one another. Commemorative coins are issued in denominations of 10 shekels (jewelry gold), 2 shekels (jewelry silver), and 1 shekel (plain silver), and will be available for purchase from the State Coinage Company of Israel.
