The Buffalo Museum of Science presents “The Art of Research” exhibit

The Buffalo Museum of Science is currently hosting a new exhibit that showcases how research can be both fascinating and visually appealing. The University at Buffalo recently held its second annual Art of Research competition at the museum, where graduate and post-doctoral students had the opportunity to display their work. Dean Graham Hammill from UB’s Graduate School believes that this project allows students to effectively communicate their studies and findings to the public.

During the event, the university unveiled an exhibit featuring a wide range of research topics, ranging from curing diseases to addressing social inequities. Hammill mentioned that while graduate students often spend their time focused on their specific research, it is important for them to see the broader impacts their work can have on the community. By showcasing their research in a public setting, students are able to connect with a wider audience and demonstrate the significance of their work.

The exhibit will be open to the public until May, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the various research projects on display. Whether it’s through innovative technologies that improve people’s health or solutions to social issues, the exhibit highlights the diverse and meaningful contributions that graduate students are making through their research. Take the time to visit the exhibit and witness the artistry and impact of research in action.
