Cleveland Clinic has announced the launch of a new Women’s Comprehensive Health and Research Center to provide specialized care for middle-aged and older women. The center’s focus will be on access, connectivity, education, research, and innovation to empower women in managing their health journey with confidence and clarity. According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, there are over 63 million women in the U.S. who are 50 years old or older, with approximately 6,000 women starting menopause daily.

Maria Shriver will lead the center as its chief visionary and strategic advisor. She is also the founder of The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement Prevention and Research Center at the Cleveland Clinic, which will now extend services to patients throughout the state. The new center will offer specialty care in areas such as behavioral health, breast health, cardiovascular care, infant and maternal health, menopause, osteoporosis, weight management, wellness, disease prevention, and healthy aging.

The center will provide online resources and support groups to address health disparities, reach diverse communities, and bridge gaps in health literacy. Initially, the new center will cater to patients in Ohio and Michigan, with plans to expand to facilities in Florida in the future.
