Bafang has introduced its Gear Variable Transmission (GVT) technology platform along with the G500A internal five-speed automatic shift hub designed for fat-tire e-bikes. This new technology aims to enhance e-bike shifting by providing precise automatic shifting mechanisms and advanced transmission control. GVT products are belt-drive friendly and are easy to integrate into e-bikes.
The GVT technology also addresses common maintenance issues and durability concerns often found in existing shift systems, contributing to the overall lifespan of e-bikes. The G500A hub is capable of withstanding torque ratings of up to 200Nm and is offered with 175mm and 190mm dropout options. Bafang has conducted at least 10,000 impact tests on each gear of the G500A hub to ensure its durability and reliability.
