These experiences are both mysterious and common, but what can science tell us about them? Chris Kerr, a hospice physician and neurobiologist, embarked on a research journey to answer these questions after witnessing his dying father have a similar experience when Kerr was just a teenager. Dr. Kerr now serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Hospice & Palliative Care Buffalo and was recently featured in a New York Times magazine article. He is also the author of the book “Death is But a Dream: Finding Hope and Meaning in End-of-Life Dreams.”
