Noah Lyles is on a mission to secure quadruple Olympic gold in Paris in 2024. After competing in the 4x400m relay at the Indoor World Championships in Glasgow, where the American team came in second to the Belgians by a mere 0.06 seconds, Lyles is now focusing on his return to the 100m sprint in the Bahamas.

To achieve his goal of four gold medals in Paris, Lyles will need to navigate a demanding schedule that includes the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, as well as the 100m and 200m sprints. This ambitious feat has never been accomplished by any track star, not even the legendary Usain Bolt.

The only two men to claim four athletics golds at a single Games are nine-time Olympic champion Carl Lewis and four-time champion Jesse Owens, but their tallies included a long jump title, unlike Lyles’ attempt at four sprint events. Lyles is determined to make history with this unprecedented accomplishment.

In a March 2024 interview with Reuters, Lyles expressed his determination and seriousness about his goal of quadruple Olympic gold. Despite some skepticism from others, Lyles proved his commitment by competing in the 4x400m relay in Glasgow and showing his speed as the fastest third leg of all six teams.

Although he finished with the second-slowest time among his American teammates, Lyles is focused on improving and preparing for the challenges ahead. With his eyes set on the ultimate prize, Lyles is ready to showcase his speed and determination on the road to Paris 2024.
