TikTok has introduced a new photo and text mobile app called TikTok Notes, which is currently in the early stages of experimentation. Users in Australia and Canada can now download and try out this new version of TikTok. This app is designed for sharing and interacting with other users through photography.
The notification for TikTok Notes was received by users earlier this month, stating that the app would be available soon. Social media analyst Matt Navarra also announced the impending arrival of the new app. TikTok Notes allows users to display photo posts from their account as well as share new image posts. It features two feeds – “For You” and “Following” – similar to the original TikTok app.
Users can link their TikTok account with TikTok Notes and share individual photos or create carousels with multiple images. The photos are displayed in a Pinterest-style two-column format. The company has not announced if TikTok Notes will be available in more regions after the initial testing phase, or when this expansion might occur. For now, the app is only available for download in a limited trial format in Australia and Canada.
