Three New Patents Issued for Microphone Mist Technology

The United States Patent and Trademark Office and European Patent Office have recently issued three additional patents for Nureva’s Microphone Mist technology. These patents acknowledge Nureva’s innovative approach to intelligent sound targeting, position-based gain control, and echo cancellation, all of which contribute to delivering clear and natural speech intelligibility for remote students and meeting participants. The patents mark the latest additions to Nureva’s growing intellectual property portfolio, providing the company with exciting opportunities to develop new products and enhancements.

Nancy Knowlton, CEO of Nureva, expressed enthusiasm about the new patents, highlighting the company’s commitment to delivering superior audio quality in larger collaboration spaces. She emphasized that the investment in the Microphone Mist technology platform continues to enable Nureva to provide unique and valuable solutions for customers.

Each of the three patents offers specific insights into the capabilities of Nureva’s Microphone Mist technology. The first patent (US 11,689,849) focuses on the microphone array’s ability to identify and exclude unwanted sound sources proactively, enhancing the listening experience. The second patent (US 11,635,937) details how the microphone array utilizes sound-source position-based gain control processing to optimize the talker’s gain and reduce ambient noise, facilitating more natural conversations. The third patent (EP 3791565) explores the use of residual echo estimate information to improve acoustic return echo cancellation performance, ensuring that talkers do not hear their own voice in their headset or speaker after speaking.

Overall, these patents demonstrate Nureva’s dedication to advancing audio technology and providing innovative solutions for collaboration spaces. With a commitment to delivering high-quality audio experiences, Nureva continues to push boundaries and redefine the possibilities for remote communication and collaboration.
