Tom Stoltman Maintains Lead After Saturday’s Events

After the first day of the 2024 World’s Strongest Man competition, Tom Stoltman of Scotland is in the lead with 26.5 points. Mitchell Hooper of Canada and Evan Singleton of the United States are close behind with 23.5 and 23 points respectively. The competition is set to conclude on the second and final day.

Stoltman, a two-time World’s Strongest Man winner, is among the 10 competitors vying for the title. The athletes competed in three events on the first day: Knaack Giant’s Medley, Max Axle, and Keg Toss in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Points were awarded based on performance in each event, with the first-place winner receiving 10 points and so on. Stoltman and Hooper tied for first in the Max Axle, while Stoltman, Hooper, and Derwinsky tied for first in the Keg Toss. Meanwhile, Singleton won the Knaack Giant’s Medley event.

The second and final day of the competition will feature events such as the Reign Total Body Fuel Conan’s Wheel, the BFGoodrich Tires HD Terrain Deadlift, and the Atlas Stones. The winner of the World’s Strongest Man competition will be determined based on the results of these events.
