Top 3% of CT High Schools Recognized by U.S. News & World Report

Two high schools in Connecticut were recognized as being in the top 3% of all high schools in the nation according to the U.S. News & World Report 2024 list. The list, which highlights the best high schools in the country, was released on Tuesday. Conard High School was ranked at No. 564 and Hall High School in West Hartford was ranked at No. 362.

According to the report, the rankings for Hall and Conard have been consistently close over the years for the state rankings. This year, Hall moved up to No. 6 in the state, surpassing Conard which was ranked at No. 11 last year. Conard maintained its position as the No. 10 public high school in Connecticut.

In the national ranking for 2024, Hall is placed at No. 362 while Conard follows closely behind at No. 564. These rankings are out of nearly 18,000 schools that were surveyed by U.S. News & World Report.

West Hartford Superintendent Paul Vicinus expressed his pride in a statement released on Tuesday, attributing the schools’ success to the hard work of the teachers and staff as well as the excellent PK-12 programming. Vicinus also highlighted the dedication of the students and the talented teachers who strive to make a positive impact on every child’s education every day.
