Sister act has arrived in Newport with the Nokomis softball team, but is there any sibling rivalry here? Mia Coots had an outstanding performance, striking out 13 batters and allowing only one hit in a 10-0 victory over Winslow. Her freshman sister was the one catching behind the plate, making it a memorable moment for both of them. This season is something they have been looking forward to for a long time, and they are enjoying every minute of it.

The Lewiston boys and girls tennis teams both secured wins in their rivalry matchups against Edward Little at Lewiston High School. It was a successful day for both teams, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the court.

Windham softball made a strong statement in their game against Gorham, with Kennedy Kimball hitting a grand slam and driving in six runs. Brooke Gerry also had an impressive performance, striking out six batters while maintaining a 0.00 earned-run average. The Eagles dominated the game, winning 13-0 in five innings against a tough opponent.

Despite a loss to defending Class A champion Cape Elizabeth, the Messalonskee boys lacrosse team is embracing the challenge. The game against Cape Elizabeth provided valuable learning moments for the team, helping them work towards their goal of returning to and winning the Class B final.

Both Skowhegan and Messalonskee softball teams showed their strength in recent games. Skowhegan had a tough victory on Monday, but their offensive power helped secure the win despite some defensive struggles. The Messalonskee team also made some noise on the field, demonstrating their capabilities and determination to succeed.
