Silver City is gearing up to host the Tour of the Gila, which will bring some of the top bicyclists from across the United States and around the world to the city. The five-day bicycle race is set to begin on April 24th and will feature one stage each day.
The Tour of the Gila will kick off with two stages of road racing for the UCI men and women cyclists. The third stage will include an individual time trial, while the fourth stage will feature a race around town. The fifth and final stage will be the Gila Monster Road Race.
The UCI men’s and women’s fields are expected to include Olympic contenders and cyclists who have won stages in major races like the Tour de France and Vuelta a España.
