Torch Awards Recognize Two Northwest Arkansas Businesses

The Better Business Bureau of Arkansas announced the winners of this year’s Torch Awards on Monday, recognizing businesses for their ethics, standards, leadership, and social responsibility. Among the winners were the Stitt Group, a home solar energy company based in Rogers, Secondhand Smoke, a barbecue caterer in Fayetteville, Roller Funeral Homes in Little Rock, and Tipton & Hurst, a florist also located in Little Rock. Additionally, the Spark Award was given to Leashes and Lashes, a dog-training service in Jacksonville that opened last year, recognizing newly opened businesses or young entrepreneurs.

The Better Business Bureau, identifiable by its torch logo, is a private nonprofit organization that evaluates businesses based on customer service, consumer protection, transparency, and licensing. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Torch Awards in Arkansas, with winners now eligible for the International Torch Awards for Ethics later this year.

The Torch Awards are a prestigious recognition of businesses who exemplify ethical practices and social responsibility. This year’s winners showcase a diverse range of industries, from solar energy and barbecue catering to funeral services and floristry. Small businesses like Leashes and Lashes are also celebrated for their commitment to excellence in customer service and ethical business practices. These awards highlight the importance of integrity and leadership in the business community, setting a standard for others to aspire to.
