According to Lexie Staten, the dean of the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, the program focuses on improving the health of our planet and its inhabitants. She emphasizes the importance of training professionals to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to environmental issues.
Equipped with hands-on fieldwork and research projects, graduates of this degree program will be prepared for roles in governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and private companies. They can pursue careers as environmental or conservation scientists, environmental educators, lawyers, environmental policy analysts, or environmental health and safety specialists. The program aligns with the anticipated job growth in the field by the Bureau of Labor Services over the next decade.
