Former US President Donald Trump has denied reports that he regularly falls asleep during his criminal trial in New York. The trial revolves around hush money paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels, and reporters on the scene claimed that Trump appeared to fall asleep multiple times. He was even given the nickname ‘Sleepy Don’ as a reference to his opponent, ‘Sleepy Joe’ Biden.

Despite reports of him falling asleep, Trump strongly contradicts these claims. He stated that he closes his eyes occasionally to listen attentively during the trial. The trial in New York is focused on the payment of $130,000 in hush money to Daniels, with allegations that Trump used campaign funds to repay his then-lawyer Michael Cohen.

During the trial, the defense attempted to discredit Daniels’ attorney, who negotiated the hush money with Cohen. Trump’s lawyer criticized the attorney’s practices, comparing them to extortion, but the attorney defended himself by stating he made financial requests on behalf of clients without any threats.

In the midst of the trial, Trump continues to maintain his innocence and defend his actions. Despite the controversy surrounding the case, the former president remains steadfast in his denial of any wrongdoing in the matter.
