New deals in Israeli defense companies are leading to the creation of new jobs as production lines expand. Marketing teams are taking advantage of global demand, with countries like Turkey, Germany, and India making moves in the defense industry.

Government defense company Tomer is hiring about 60 new employees to support the development boom and expansion of production lines. The demand for Israeli-made defense products has increased due to historic sales like the Arrow 3 deal with Germany.

Companies like Elbit are also securing contracts for supply of defense systems, like the Crossbow unmanned turret mortar system. These deals are contributing to the growth of the defense industry and the creation of new technologies for defense systems.

On the international front, there are developments like Turkey’s agreement to purchase F-16 aircraft and upgrade existing ones, as well as Germany’s call for a significant increase in defense budget. The Sky Shield air defense system program is gaining traction, with potential involvement from Britain and other European countries.

There are also challenges in the defense industry, such as the issue of counterfeit components being sold to the US military and the need for countries like Germany to increase shell production rates. Despite these challenges, advances in defense technology, like India’s new attack drone, show the continuous evolution of the defense industry.
