The UNDP Libya, in collaboration with the Libyan Korean Centre and local stakeholders, has introduced five key training programmes to develop a skilled workforce that can support a more sustainable greener economy in Libya. These training programmes focus on areas such as energy assessment and innovative building, recycling skills, municipal waste management, environmental health and safety, and circular economy entrepreneurship.

This initiative, which was announced on 15th April, is part of the UNDP’s Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts to promote job creation for the youth population in Libya. The training programmes are being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Rehabilitation, with support from the Republic of Korea.

By offering these training programmes, the UNDP aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to a greener economy in Libya. This initiative not only creates job opportunities but also promotes sustainable practices and environmental conservation in the country. Through collaboration with local partners, the UNDP hopes to build a better future for Libya by investing in its human capital and promoting economic growth.
