Team USA showcased their dominance in the relay events at the World Athletics Relays Bahamas 24, solidifying themselves as the nation to beat leading up to the Paris 2024 athletics event. The U.S. men and women swept four out of five finals, with the Botswana men claiming the title in the 4x400m relay after the Americans were disqualified in the heats.

World champions Noah Lyles and Gabby Thomas played pivotal roles in securing wins for the U.S. in the respective 4x100m races. Thomas also contributed to the world-leading time in the 4x400m (3:21.70) for the American women. The event served as a platform to secure Olympic quota spots, with most of the spots filled in each discipline.

Over 1600 athletes, including top stars such as Lyles, Thomas, Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs, and world champion Femke Bol, gathered in Nassau, Bahamas for the highly anticipated event. The U.S. men’s 4x100m relay team, led by Courtney Lindsey, set a world-leading time of 37.40 to secure the gold, while the women’s team also dominated in the 4x100m relay with a championship record of 41.85.

With National Olympic Committees having exclusive authority over Olympic Games representation, athletes’ participation in Paris 2024 depends on their NOC selecting them for their delegation. The official qualification system for each sport is available for reference for those aiming to compete in the upcoming games.
