Watchful’s Technology and Talent Acquired by Thoughtworks

Thoughtworks (NASDAQ: TWKS) recently completed an acquisition of individuals and technology assets from Watchful, a company based in San Francisco, CA that focuses on accelerating the creation, enhancement, and deployment of AI models. This move will position Thoughtworks as a leading AI transformation partner on a global scale.

The acquisition included a team of seven professionals from Watchful, including co-founders Shayan Mohanty and John Singleton. These individuals bring valuable expertise in AI and data, as well as research experience that will benefit Thoughtworks in delivering AI and data solutions to its clients.

By integrating Watchful’s technology into its suite of Data and AI services, Thoughtworks anticipates that AI deployment processes will be expedited, allowing projects to move quickly from proof of concept to production. This will ultimately provide clients with faster returns on their AI investments.

Following the acquisition, the existing business operations of Watchful will no longer continue. However, current Watchful clients will still receive support for their ongoing subscriptions.

Under the leadership of Guo Xiao, Thoughtworks is a global technology consultancy that specializes in strategy, design, and engineering for digital innovation. With over 10,500 employees spread across 48 offices in 19 countries, the company has a strong global presence in the technology sector.
