AI will play a key role in our solution, with integration across all layers of the platform. This includes using AI for metadata enhancements and conversational discovery. A generative AI-powered assistant will be at the core of the platform, providing users with insights, an intuitive user experience, and advanced analytics. By automating administrative tasks, users can focus on decision-making rather than data collection and analysis.

One of the main use cases we are exploring is a conversational assistant powered by generative AI. This intelligent interface will make analytical queries accessible to all users, regardless of their level of expertise in data analysis or research evaluation. This will help democratize access to research analytics and empower users to gain valuable insights.

Another feature we are working on is impact narratives. Rather than just presenting numbers, the assistant will create impact narratives that tell the story of the user’s research impact. Drawing from societal impact frameworks and traditional publication and citation indicators, these narratives will help users showcase the significance of their work.

Our platform will also include tools for chart summarization, making it easy for users to understand key insights from charts quickly. Additionally, AI will be used for author matching, connecting authors to their works and organizational units seamlessly. This will help streamline research workflows and make collaboration easier.

Lastly, the platform will facilitate funding opportunities discovery by linking emerging research topics, researcher profiles, and department profiles to relevant funding opportunities. This will help researchers stay informed about available funding opportunities that align with their research interests and goals.
