Wolt, a courier service company, has operations in 27 countries and employs over 10,000 people. The company has started change negotiations, although no one from Wolt was available for an interview. However, via email, the company confirmed that negotiations are ongoing and may impact the employment relationships of a small group. Finnish communications director, Jenni Jusslinin, stated that the aim is to renew the company’s organizational structure to ensure operational efficiency. This may involve centralizing some personnel from country teams as part of global teams at the company’s headquarters in Helsinki.

Wolt’s head office is in Helsinki and the company has been part of American company Doordash since 2022. Doordash is the largest food delivery company in the United States. Doordash’s stock price dropped over 13% on Wall Street due to weakened consumer demand impacting sales at the beginning of the year. The change negotiations at Wolt were first reported by the Evening News.
