AHL Playoff Series: Hershey Wins Twice against Hartford Wolfpack with 4-2 and 2-0 Scores

The Hartford Wolf Pack has suffered two consecutive losses against the Hershey Bears, making their road to the Calder Cup final more challenging. In the second game of the best-of-five Atlantic Division Finals series, the Wolf Pack fell 4-2 to the Bears, with Hunter Shepard making 25 saves for Hershey. Mike Vecchione scored the decisive goal for the Bears in the second period, while Will Quill and Adam Clendenning scored for the Wolf Pack. In the USL Championship, Hartford Athletic suffered their third straight loss, this time 3-1 to Phoenix Rising FC. The first goal of the match was scored by Danny Trejo in the fifth minute, but Kyle Edwards equalized for Hartford just before halftime. However, Carlos Harvey and Manuel Arteaga scored for Phoenix to secure the victory.

The Hartford Yards Goats were defeated 9-2 by the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Sunday. Despite winning four of their first six games on the road trip, the Yard Goats couldn’t keep up with Binghamton. Carlos Carrasco, a right-hander for the Mets, had a successful second MLB rehab start against Hartford, keeping them scoreless for four innings and striking out four. Outfielder Vladimir Restitiyo hit safely in 20 of his last 21 games, but his streak ended on Wednesday. The Yard Goats will return home to play the No. 1 Portland Seadogs of the Boston Red Sox at Dunkin Park from Tuesday to Sunday.
