The badminton events will take place from 27 July to 5 August at the La Chapelle Arena, with five medal events including men’s and women’s singles, mixed doubles, and men’s and women’s team competitions. The medal matches for the mixed doubles will be held on 2 August, followed by the women’s doubles on 3 August and the men’s doubles on 4 August. The medal matches for the men’s and women’s singles will take place on 5 August.

In badminton singles and doubles matches at the Paris 2024 Olympics, games will be played to the best of three sets with each set played to 21 points. Points are awarded on each serve, and the birdie must stay within the court boundaries for the rally to continue. If it hits the ground in the opponent’s half, a point is won, and if it goes outside the court boundaries, the point is conceded. If the score reaches 20-20, a team must win by two clear points to secure the game, with a victory at 29-29 determined by the first to reach 30 points.

At the Tokyo Olympics, China dominated the badminton event, taking home two gold medals and four silvers to top the medal table with a total of six medals. Overall, China has won the most Olympic badminton medals with 47, including 20 golds. Indonesia follows with 21 medals, including eight golds, while Great Britain has won three Olympic badminton medals, comprising one silver and two bronze.
