The Bartlesville High School baseball team concluded their 2024 season with a tough loss in the 6A Regionals. Despite putting up a strong fight, the Bruins were defeated 6-1 by Union in an elimination game. This loss ended Bartlesville’s two-game Regional win streak against Union.

Throughout the game, Bartlesville battled hard but struggled to match Union’s offensive firepower. The Redhawks managed to score three runs in the third inning and added single runs later in the game to maintain their lead. Bartlesville’s only run came in the sixth inning when they had the bases loaded and one out, but were unable to capitalize on the opportunity.

Pitchers Kaden Romesburg and Grant Clark gave Bartlesville a chance to compete, with Romesburg pitching two scoreless innings at the beginning of the game and making a crucial double play with the bases loaded in the third inning. Despite their efforts, Bartlesville fell short in the end.

As the season comes to a close, Bartlesville will say goodbye to five seniors but will retain two of their top three starting pitchers and several underclassmen in the lineup. The team finished the year with a record of 13-22. Despite the disappointing end, the Bruins can look back on the season with pride at their accomplishments.
