Trailing 4-1, the Yard Goats scored five runs in the seventh inning to take the lead. Sterlin Thompson was the star of the game, going 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and three RBIs. This victory moved the Yard Goats into first place in the Northeast Division, ahead of Portland.
Nick Yorke had a strong game for the Sea Dogs, going 2 for 4 and scoring twice. Portland had taken an early lead with a two-run double by Yorke and an RBI triple by Matthew Lugo in the third inning.
