Can Humans Use GPS Tracking Devices? – Technological Advancements

Today, I experienced a flat tire on my bike, causing me to be late coming home for a scheduled dinner out with my wife. This made me consider the possibility of using a tracking device on myself or my bicycle so that my wife could monitor my location and speed of travel at any given moment. For instance, if she had access to this technology today, she would have seen that I was traveling at a slow walking pace quite far from our home.

During a conversation with a hair stylist, she mentioned how she keeps track of the geographic location of her children using their cellphones. This led me to wonder if there was a way to achieve similar tracking capabilities without the need for a cell phone.

I recalled that some convicted criminals are required to wear GPS tracking devices to monitor their movements. This raised the question of whether it would be feasible to adopt similar tracking technology for personal use without the use of a cell phone.

While tracking devices are commonly used for cars, I considered the possibility of carrying one around as an alternative to carrying a cell phone if I wanted to resist using the latter.

In response to the suggestion of using a cell phone for tracking purposes, I pondered over the possibility of simply carrying my cell phone with me to meet the same tracking needs.
