The May 7 Kandiyohi County Board meeting will feature several proclamations, including May as Mental Health Month and Foster Care Appreciation Month, with May 9 being Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day and May 10 as Child Care Provider Appreciation Day. Presentations on mental health services and foster care in the county will be given by Kandiyohi County’s Health and Human Services, as well as presentations from Woodland Centers and the United Community Action Partnership Parent Support Outreach Program. The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. in the boardroom of the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services building in Willmar.
Other items on the agenda include the discussion and approval of the 2024 Community Crime Intervention and Prevention Grant contract, bid awards for the reconstruction of County Road 7 and the 2024 bituminous surfacing projects.
