After missing out on the Indian team in 2023 due to becoming a mother, superstar Indian archer Deepika Kumari is back in action. She is competing on the Hyundai Archery World Cup circuit, aiming for a spot on the podium at this year’s opening stage in Shanghai. Despite starting as the 30th seed, Deepika made it to the final four by defeating number six qualifier Jeon Hunyoung Jeon in the quarterfinals. The top four includes last year’s winner Lim Sihyeon, third Korean Nam Suhyeon, and home favorite Li Jiaman.
Expressing her happiness to be back on the team in an important year, Deepika shares her excitement for returning to what she loves.
