Lubbock mentioned that the Conservative brand’s economic competence has taken a hit in recent times, with Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak playing significant roles. He noted how public confidence in the Tory Party’s economic management waned during Sunak’s tenure due to high inflation levels.
Although things seem to be improving for the Prime Minister, the polls have not reflected this positive trend. It is hoped that a potential England victory in the Euro 2024 football tournament could provide an economic boost and uplift the general mood in the UK.
