Diamond Sports Group and DIRECTV have renewed their distribution agreement for several years, ensuring that customers will continue to have access to Diamond’s regional sports networks. Customers who select certain packages such as CHOICE, ULTIMATE, or PREMIER will be able to watch live, local MLB, NBA, and NHL games along with team-related content on Diamond’s RSN channels. In the near future, these customers will also have the option to stream Diamond’s RSN content through the Bally Sports app by using their DIRECTV credentials.

For customers who do not have access to Diamond’s RSN channels as part of their primary video service, they will have the opportunity to purchase Diamond’s Direct-to-Consumer product via DIRECTV. This will give them access to the full range of local DTC content for teams that Diamond retains the rights to. David Preschlack, CEO of Diamond, expressed his pleasure in extending their relationship with DIRECTV and providing quality local sports telecasts to fans in the home markets of their team partners.

Rob Thun, Chief Content Officer of DIRECTV, echoed this sentiment by emphasizing their commitment to providing customers with flexibility, choice, and value. The agreement with Diamond ensures that DIRECTV customers will have access to a key component of their live sports offering for years to come. This renewal of agreement between Diamond and DIRECTV follows similar renewals with Charter Communications, Inc. and Cox Communications. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
