Anton Watson, a forward for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, has recently signed with sports agency group Young Money APAA Sports as he prepares for the 2024 NBA Draft. Young Money APAA Sports, founded by rapper Lil Wayne in 2019, announced Watson as one of their newest clients alongside other college athletes like Oklahoma State’s John-Michael Wright and Arkansas’ Jeremiah Davenport.
Before joining Young Money APAA Sports, Watson was a client of Seven1 Sports & Entertainment, a sports agency founded by Tracy McGrady and Jermaine O’Neal. He has also secured several notable NIL deals in Spokane, appearing in TV commercials for various brands including Pint House Burgers & Brews, Northwest Specialty Hospital, and Papa Murphy’s.
During his senior season at Gonzaga, Watson had a standout performance, earning All-WCC first-team honors. He achieved career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, field goals made per game, and steals. Despite his impressive stats and reputation as a versatile defender in the West Coast Conference, Watson may not be selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. However, he still has options to pursue a career in the NBA through avenues such as signing as an undrafted free agent, securing a two-way contract, or earning an invitation to the NBA Summer League.
