Hello A-J readers! This week brought plenty of exciting news to discuss. On Wednesday, two new businesses opened their doors. Cyrus Kabob, located at 421 Frankford Ave., now offers their family’s Persian recipes at their new restaurant. Additionally, Hairbreak Hotel at 2614 130th St., Unit 3., debuted their Elvis Presley themed hair salon and introduced their exclusive line of beard oil.

Another new hair salon, Lil Homiez Barbershop and Salon, opened on Thursday at 5302 Ave. Q, Suite 17. In addition to these openings, two articles were published from the business beat on Wednesday. One featured Dawna Gillespie of Dawna Gillespie Adornments, an internationally recognized designer who found her passion for metalsmithing at Texas Tech. Gillespie’s work aims to represent the human life, from soul to soul, through unique and individual pieces.

In another article, a roundup of business news for the month of April was shared, covering 15 entries including nine openings, two closings, and four upcoming/denied announcements. Looking ahead to next week, no concrete plans have been made yet, leaving room to explore some rumored places that may be worth a visit. As always, thank you for your continued support of the A-J.
