Grandmother of 12 grandchildren sets new Guinness World Record for Plank endurance

Twelve years ago, Donna Jean Wilde had to interrupt her training routine, which included running and strength training, due to a broken wrist. She discovered the plank exercise as a temporary alternative to physical activity and began to incorporate it into her daily routine. While doing the plank, she realized she could read and do other things, leading her to fall in love with the exercise. She even started watching full-length movies during the plank and completed her master’s degree in that pose.

Donna Jean experienced pain in her elbows and hips during the hours spent in the plank, but her husband believed that these pains helped her succeed in reaching the world record. He stated that dealing with chronic pain and stiffness taught her to keep her head strong and move forward even amidst the discomfort. With the support of her 12 grandchildren and the tools she acquired over the years, Donna Jean was able to achieve the unbelievable.
