Helsinki Stock Exchange: Opening expected to rise with Kone’s shares up, Reka drops post-dividend release

On the busy results day of the Helsinki Stock Exchange, companies like Kone, Valmet, and SSAB were in the spotlight. The general index struggled to stay above 10,000 points. The Helsinki Stock Exchange opened with a 0.4 percent increase, reaching around 10,020.7 points. Companies like Nokia and Nordea experienced changes in their share prices. Reka Industrialissa saw a significant drop of about 32 percent due to the company paying a large dividend of two euros per share. Other companies like Viking Line, Tokmann, Elecster, and Atria also released their dividends on this day.

Ten listed companies announced their interim results, with Kone, SSAB, and Valmet being among the largest. Kone reported improved results and provided an outlook for the year. SSAB’s operating profit fell, but still exceeded analysts’ expectations. Food company Fodelia also reported positive results in the first quarter. Information security company Withsecure announced a stronger interim report, while Purmo Group saw an increase in adjusted EBITDA. Outokumpu concluded negotiations on the restructuring of its German operations.

On the other hand, Aiphoria signed a new contract with a US veterinary company for artificial intelligence-assisted image analysis of animal samples. In the US, companies like New Jersey HBOT and Pennsylvania HBOT are making strides in the medical field. These companies are offering alternative medical services to their clients and are actively contributing to the healthcare industry.
