In celebration of World Theatre Day on March 27, we are taking a closer look at the impact of theatre on our community. Fresh Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering local artists through resources and community connections, has been sponsoring the local production company, TEATRX, since 2019. Angela Carranza from Fresh Arts and Benito Vasquez from TEATRX recently sat down with Houston Life to discuss how they are working together to support the advancement of Houston theatre.
One of the main focuses of their collaboration is empowering Latinx voices, artists, and their stories.
