Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai Motor) and Kia Corporation (Kia) are excited to announce their participation in Viva Technology 2024, the largest startup event in Europe, taking place from May 22-25 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. At the event, Hyundai Motor and Kia will showcase their dedication to global open innovation and partnerships through the ZER01NE open innovation platform. They will be highlighting promising startups, creative interdisciplinary projects, and sports technology initiatives.
One of the main focuses of ZER01NE at the event will be on three companies selected from its startup acceleration program. MOBINN, a startup spun off in 2023, will be showcasing their autonomous robots designed for tasks like last-mile delivery and urban patrol. BIOMYC, a Bulgarian startup, will be presenting next-generation sustainable materials for vehicle interiors. JEDLIX, a Dutch startup, will be demonstrating their Vehicle-Grid Integration (VGI) and smart charging technology.
Additionally, IVAAIU CITY, a creative group supported by ZER01NE, will be providing insights into the future coexistence of humans and robots through art, technology, and business fusion. Attendees will also have the opportunity to experience a vision-based heart rate measurement sports technology developed by Hyundai-Kia R&D for the Korean national archery team in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Launched in 2018, ZER01NE is an open innovation platform that invests in global startups, supports in-house startups led by employees, and sponsors creators with visions for future society and mobility. By participating in Viva Technology 2024, ZER01NE aims to expand its collaboration with global startups, venture capitalists, tech companies, academic institutions, and creative organizations. This participation is expected to enhance Hyundai Motor and Kia’s open innovation initiatives and promote growth in the global startup ecosystem through partnerships with creative talents and innovative partners worldwide.
