Recently, the Indianapolis Colts, USA Swimming, and Indiana Sports Corp came together to host a special event called “Under The Surface” for 150 local high school students at the Colts headquarters. The event included an activity fair and panel discussion focusing on the connection between mental health and sports, featuring special guests like Olympic gold medalist Lilly King, U.S. swimmer Ashley Twichell, Colts player Kenny Moore II, and Colts Vice Chair & Owner Kalen Jackson. The participating students are part of Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), a national organization with chapters in Indiana schools working to end the stigma around mental illnesses.

The event, held in preparation for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming taking place in Indianapolis in June, was a way to bring awareness to the importance of mental health in sports and beyond.
