The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has recognized Jacobs Financial as the 2024 Family-Owned Business of the Year. Jim Jacobs, who was a partner in Jacobs, Willmore, and Associates, took over ownership of the business in 1992 when they moved to St. Cloud in 1979. Since then, Dave Jacobs joined the firm in 2002 after graduating from St. Cloud State University, and Andy Jacobs joined in 2003. Jacobs Financial has expanded to include 7 advisors and 7 support staff, with plans to add more advisors this year. They are also looking to expand into the Brainerd and Maple Grove areas.
Andy Jacobs believes that being a family-owned business changes your mindset and emphasizes the importance of trust when working with clients. They strive to do the right thing not only for their clients but for the community as well. The relationship Jacobs Financial has with the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce has been integral to their success, helping them connect with people, build relationships, and find clients and business owners in the community.
The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Luncheon will take place on Wednesday, May 1st at 11:30 am at the Park Events Center. This year’s award recipients include Jeremy and Emily Salzbrun, owners of H&S Heating, A/C, Electrical and Plumbing as the 2024 Small Business Owners of the Year, Jill Magelssen of Express Employment Professionals as the 2024 Women in Business Champion, and Jim, Andy, and Dave Jacobs of Jacobs Financial as the 2024 Family-Owned Business of the Year.
