Jonathan Lass to Join Planning Committee for UT School of Law Technology Law Conference; Jennifer Wertz to Speak on “Technology-Centered Bankruptcy & Insolvency” – Jackson Walker

Jackson Walker partner Jonathan E. Lass played a key role in The University of Texas School of Law’s 37th Annual Technology Law Conference by serving on the planning committee and as a presiding officer. The conference will feature discussions led by nationally recognized leaders in technology, covering a wide range of industry issues such as technology licensing, data privacy, and emerging technology.

Another Jackson Walker partner, Jennifer F. Wertz, will be a presenter at the conference on May 23. Her presentation, titled “A Technology-Focused Introduction to Bankruptcy & Insolvency,” will provide valuable insights on key bankruptcy and insolvency concepts, including protectionist and opportunistic strategies. Jackson Walker associate Beau Butler also contributed to the event by co-authoring an article featured in the course materials.

Jonathan E. Lass, based in Austin, is a partner at Jackson Walker specializing in technology outsourcing and mergers and acquisitions transactions. He advises both government agencies acquiring mission-critical technology and private sector clients on strategic acquisitions, purchase and sale of businesses and assets, and technology procurement.

Jennifer F. Wertz, a partner in the Austin office’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring, & Recovery practice, represents various stakeholders involved in bankruptcy proceedings and complex litigation. Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Jennifer also focuses on complex corporate reorganization and fiduciary litigation with an emphasis on workouts and reorganization.
