Kewpies girls soccer triumphs over Jeff City in latest matchup | High School Sports

Hickman girls soccer entered their game against 10-win Jefferson City hoping to end a three-game losing streak. The Kewpies achieved their goal by defeating the Jays with a 6-0 shutout. The game began with Ada Kirkpatrick scoring the first goal for Hickman in the 6th minute. Just six minutes later, Lucy Elfrink extended the lead by finding the back of the net.

Hickman continued to dominate, scoring another goal before halftime to take a 3-0 lead. In the second half, the Kewpies scored three more times, including one off a corner kick from Kira Hoenes, securing the victory with a final score of 6-0 over the Jays. With this win, Hickman’s record now stands at 5-4 for the season, while Jefferson City drops to 10-3.

Up next, the Kewpies will travel to Smith-Cotton on Friday, while the Jays will have time off until next Monday when they face Battle on the road.
