Kyle Busch claimed the pole position by setting a lap speed of 162.191 mph for the upcoming Cup race at Dover Motor Speedway scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on FS1. This marks his 34th career Cup pole and his second at Dover. Following Busch are Ryan Blaney (161.951 mph), William Byron (161.486 mph), Tyler Reddick (161.233 mph), and Noah Gragson (160.714 mph) in the top five. Others who secured the top 10 starting positions include Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, Michael McDowell, Alex Bowman, and AJ Allmendinger.

Corey Heim, stepping in for the injured Erik Jones, qualified 32nd with a lap speed of 159.327 mph. Unfortunately, Erik Jones will not be participating in Sunday’s race at Dover due to a compression fracture in a lower vertebra that he sustained last week at Talladega. Zane Smith and Kaz Grala did not qualify after encountering crashes during Group B practice. Smith experienced rear damage to the No. 71 Chevrolet due to a rear tire issue, while Grala hit the wall head-on in the No. 15 Ford leading to the use of a backup car.

Additionally, Christopher Bell spun during the initial lap of qualifying but managed to avoid significant damage by scraping the car against the outside wall. The race at Dover will begin on Sunday at 2:11 p.m. with FS1 providing coverage. Pre-race coverage kicks off with NASCAR RaceDay on FS1 at 1 p.m.
