During Saturday’s qualifying session at Dover Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch emerged as the fastest driver on the 1-mile banked concrete track. He is one of four Chevrolet drivers who reached the final round of qualifying. The other Chevy drivers in the top 10 are William Byron in third, Alex Bowman in ninth, and AJ Allmendinger in 10th.

Ryan Blaney was the fastest Ford driver, finishing in second place during the qualifying session. Other Ford drivers making it to the second round of qualifying include Noah Gragson in fifth, Chase Briscoe in seventh, and Michael McDowell in eighth.

Unfortunately, Erik Jones will miss Sunday’s race at Dover due to a compression fracture in a lower vertebra, which he suffered last week at Talladega. Among Toyota drivers, Tyler Reddick in fourth and Denny Hamlin in sixth are the only ones who reached the second round of qualifying.

Martin Truex Jr., last season’s Dover race winner, qualified 15th for the upcoming race. Jimmie Johnson, an 11-time Dover winner, secured the fifth spot during Group B practice but dropped to 27th after the qualifying session.

The green flag for Sunday’s race at Dover is set to wave at 2:11 p.m., with coverage provided by FS1. Pre-race coverage begins with NASCAR RaceDay on FS1 at 1 p.m.
