LeBron James weighs his health against Lakers’ playoff positioning

LeBron James has been able to stay relatively healthy this season after suffering injuries in four of his first five seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite dealing with a troublesome left ankle for most of the season, he has managed to play in 63 of the Lakers’ 73 games. However, he occasionally has had to sit out to manage the injury, as was the case against the Milwaukee Bucks.

In a game against the Bucks, James sat out and watched as his team overcame a 19-point deficit to win in two overtimes. He returned to action against the Memphis Grizzlies the next day and posted a triple-double to lead his team to its fifth straight win. Despite his strong performance, James emphasized the importance of prioritizing his health over the team’s postseason seeding.

James, who is 39 years old, understands the importance of maintaining his health for the team’s success. He acknowledges that if he is not healthy, it is not good for the Lakers or for himself. He has been playing at an elite level, especially in terms of shooting efficiency, and the Lakers will rely on him to continue providing that level of play for a successful playoff run.
