Tamara Tippler has made the decision to return to the ski circuit and join the women’s World Cup team once again starting in May. The new mom recently had her first racing experience of the year at the World Cup final in Saalbach. As a speed specialist, she missed the exhilaration of racing and being in competition mode. Nearly a year ago, the Styrian athlete took maternity leave but never completely ruled out a return. Now, at 33 years old, she is ready to dive back into full-on racing.

“I always had in mind to come back to the World Cup, I just needed to ensure that I could once again push myself to my limits in terms of speed,” Tamara stated. After training with her teammates and participating in Saalbach as a forerunner, she realized that her passion for ski racing was still very much alive. She also had to ensure that her daughter, Mia, would be well taken care of while she is traveling with the race team. Tamara wants to prove that as a mother, she can still excel in high-level sports and successfully balance family and career in professional sports. She knows it won’t be easy, but she is excited to take on the challenge and grateful for the opportunity to continue pursuing her passion for ski racing.

Head coach Roland Assinger expresses his support for Tamara’s decision to continue her skiing career, emphasizing her positive personality as a valuable asset to the team. Tamara is determined to make her mark in the ski circuit once again, and with the backing of her team, she is ready to face any challenges that may come her way.
