The Prosecutor General’s Office has submitted several applications requesting the confiscation of illegal property. Three of these applications were presented today in parliament by prosecutor Anna Vardapetyan. One of the cases involves the second president Robert Kocharyan and 7 individuals associated with him who are required to return 25 units of real estate and more than 35 billion drams. The prosecutor’s office is also seeking the confiscation of 5 means of transport, participation in 16 Armenian and foreign legal entities, over 4 million dollars in deposit securities, and the right to request loans equivalent to about 10 billion drams.
In a separate case, former Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Gagik Khachatryan and his related persons are being asked to surrender around 200 units of real estate to Armenia, with 56 of these properties located in the center of Yerevan. Additionally, Khachatryan is required to relinquish 13 means of transport, involvement in 29 Armenian and foreign legal entities, more than 1.4 million dollars in deposits and securities, the right to demand loans equivalent to more than 23 million dollars, and over 23 billion drams.
Furthermore, the leader of the “Prosperous Armenia” party, former MP Gagik Tsarukyan and his associates have been called to surrender 79 real estates, 42 vehicles, 8 unidentified vehicles valued at 349 million drams, and a right of claim worth approximately 33.5 million drams in favor of Armenia. The prosecutor’s office is also seeking the confiscation of the market value of 10 real estates, shares in 39 legal entities, the right to claim loans equivalent to over 63.3 billion drams, loans provided to 12 individuals and legal entities totaling more than 16.8 billion drams, and a demand for the confiscation of assets worth 86 billion 480 million drams equivalent to one billion dollars.
