The Dolphins made an addition to their defense and special teams by signing linebacker Cam Brown to their 90-man roster on Wednesday. Brown, a former 2020 sixth-round pick of the Giants, spent the last four years with the team before joining Miami. While he only played 103 snaps on defense for the Giants, Brown accumulated 1,328 snaps on special teams and served as one of the team’s captains. In his 60 regular season appearances with the Giants, Brown recorded 35 tackles, two forced fumbles, and three quarterback hits.

In addition to Brown, the Dolphins also signed former Bills special teamer Siran Neal as a free agent this offseason. Both players are expected to have prominent roles in the kicking game if they make it to the 53-man roster in Miami. Neal’s signing adds depth and experience to the Dolphins’ special teams unit, providing them with more options and versatility in that area of the game. Overall, the addition of Brown and Neal strengthens the Dolphins’ defense and special teams, adding new talent and leadership to the team.
