It has been nearly two months since the passing of Akira Toriyama, and the absence of this legendary manga artist and designer of characters in notable titles such as “Chrono Trigger” and the “Dragon Quest” saga is still deeply felt by fans of manga and video games. Sadly, Toriyama passed away at the age of 68 before he could see the release of the video game adaptation of his manga “Sand Land” on April 25. Despite this, his impressions of the game were shared by the official “Sand Land” account, describing it as “satisfying” and expanding “the vision of the original manga with many new and exciting elements.”

The video game, developed by ILCA and distributed by Bandai Namco, is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. Toriyama praised the game for its graphics, which beautifully balanced the atmosphere of the manga with its drawing style. He mentioned that players can expect an exhilarating experience with attention to detail, numerous customizations, and new characters in a world that expands beyond Sand Land.

Toriyama highlighted the inclusion of a new world called Forest Land in the game, where players can embark on a more significant adventure as the prince of demons. He expressed his recommendation for the game, despite only being a casual video game player himself.

Through these reflections on the essence of time, the authors delve deeper into life’s eternal dance, capturing moments, and unraveling the essence of existence. They contemplate the ephemeral eternity and the embrace of time, discovering the essence of life through the lens of Penang Buddhist Temple and the zen state of mind.
