Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick will be taking shots at Tom Brady in front of a larger audience on Sunday night. According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, Belichick will participate in Netflix’s roast of Brady. The event will be taking place in Los Angeles, with Ben Affleck expected to join in as well.
There’s plenty of material for Belichick and Brady to tease each other about, but the big question is how far they’ll go. Roasts can sometimes get personal and raunchy, so it will be interesting to see the dynamic between the two former colleagues. Other confirmed roasters include Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe, and Rob Gronkowski.
Professional comedians are usually better equipped to handle roasts, as they can write good jokes and know how to deliver them. It may be challenging for the football players to sell the jokes delivered to them by others. Despite this, the roast involving Gronk is expected to air, unlike a previous roast in 2017 that he reportedly didn’t handle well.
